Culinary Capers

So I’m kind of cooking a lot these days, albeit by spurts. Jessica inspired me last semester since I would cook once in a while for dinner together, but that was the first I’d really cooked since leaving the Incredibly Large And Guest-Friendly Tichenor Pad. (Still no quiche since moving in August 2004, which is sad, but maybe I’ll make one again sometime soon…) Anyway the two most fun things lately that I made are below for your salivating or cooking pleasure. Stand by for corn cakes... :P

Yeah! new recipes! I love recipes!

By the way after out phone conversation yesterday I decided to attempt some spanish tortilla because I got a hankering for it.

Almost have it. I think the non-stick pan I have is a great help in the flipping.

But I may have had the temp up a teensy bit too much for it was a little bit blackened. not burnt so that it tasted bad... but it certainly wasn't golden like yours. But the potatoes came out perfect this time.

Hmmm.
Susan is the best tortilla maker ever! How will I ever catch up?

I'm probably not the best tortilla maker at the moment - haven't made one since way before your departure - I guess I better make one sometime soon to stay in practice. Plus your mention made me crave it. :)

I am also craving some lemony crepes.
Of course, I am probably just craving the sugar.
