What's in a name?

Well... I just overheard some of the Spanish TA's discussing weird baby names. One of them had heard of a child named "Shitauris."

Parental cruelty has no bounds. Is one potentially mortifying connection not sufficient? Or, scarier... Maybe they didn't know!? But even assuming that there are indeed people out there who don't know what the more, if you will, erudite association would be... Surely no one is ignorant of the primary evocation here?

Big Yikes at any rate.

Jessica a dit…

My goodness. And I used to complain that "Jessica" was too unoriginal.

People would be better off naming their kids after the word verification on blogger. If I had two kids and named them after my posts they would have been zypotima (which I thought was cool when I posted about the ears but didn't know how to point it out) and skpoa. The second one is a little hard to pronounce but I imagine it would be skuh-po-a.
:)

Susan a dit…

skpoa sounds like a volcano in Hawaii :)
