Well I have been pretty silent - partly holiday funk and partly I still haven't worked out the router ickiness. The holiday funk really is pretty nearly over, I'm glad to say. Going to bake tonight even, which I haven't done in ages. Not this whole break! Very sad. I have some pie pix to post from Thanksgiving and might do a TT with pie pix one day soon - I'm only 2 pies away from 13 really fun pie pix. I'm making apple pie and probably cookies tonight, so... good thing it's only 6h... As for the router, mostly I just have been putting off calling the Linksys tech people again because they were so useless the last two times. Nevermind that the two times before that they rocked, so really their average is not bad I guess. It just infuriated me last time tho so I haven't been anxious to put myself thru that again. But I swear I'm calling them tonight. I seriously have to because it will make the new semester prep stuff infinitely easier if I can actually work at my fucking desk. And of course it will certainly boost my blogging, too, that way. (All my best blogging has been done at the desk you know.) Anyway I'm m not feeling too optimistic about the phone call, tho even as I admit that I think shit! now I've jinxed the whole thing. I would love to be proven wrong tho so who knows? (Is anything more pitiful than obviously forced optimism?) Maybe I should get drunk first. Does anyone make routers besides Linksys? Will I ever be able to go online again in my own home without having to hold the frigging computer on my lap on the couch next to the stinking cable feed in the livingroom? Is it really only one more putain week til school starts again?..... Anyway you can see how my head has been... Which is not all of it - I've been doing way too much TV, too, so of course that is partly to blame as well; the last couple days have seen something of a resurfacing from that, tho, I'm happy to say, plus I've watched all the stuff I was super anxious to get to over break so it all works out pretty well. One surprise batch of fun, viewing-wise, was Firefly and Serenity, both of which were quite good.
