OK I have to rant for a second - two French friends now have written complaining about "Sarko" and tho I both feel for them and think it bodes badly for the world at large (somehow it didn't seem surprising for it to be happening here, which, I know: yikes!), I also have a teensy bit o' spite in the back of my head...
See how they like it to have a president they hate and/or don't agree with and for whose shenanigans all their foreign friends will be asking for explanations from them and with whom everyone associates them regardless of how little they agree with him since he's Their Country's President and therefore they must be Just Like Him or at least know why the hell their country has taken such a sinister turn.
