Thursday 13 - turning my life around, again...

Thirteen things I need to do to turn my life around, for the (probably) 13,000,000th time
  1. drink more water
  2. do cardio and yoga every day not just my 2-3x/wk weights
  3. get more sleep
  4. read more
  5. journal more
  6. sit and pet the cats more
  7. be in better contact with people, especially by letter and phone
  8. not stay in my head so much
  9. cook more & eat healthier
  10. create whatever comes to mind
  11. keep the house from getting cluttery
  12. post more hikes on our Meetup
  13. try to focus on one day at a time
Oh and with an eye to the journaling and the not staying in my head so much I've decided to start doing Thursday 13 again - maybe some other memes too for old time's sake...

Journally Mitraillette ('cause, you know, normally they're not)

What I'm supposed to do:
  • check school email
  • figure out when we'll have the 2nd year book meeting and let everyone know
  • update 200-level syllabi
  • update 100-level syllabi
  • figure out when I'll do Paris class visits the first couple weeks and email all the profs
  • write back to the mgmt co. guy to let him know it's a no go
  • update the Paris page and figure out why it only lets me edit certain aspects and not others
  • finish looking over 2nd yr textbooks
  • finish my late holiday cards
  • catch up on 4 million emails
  • catch up on FB
  • go to the PO to undo the mail hold and pick up stuff
  • go to the library and return cds and see if they have the other Alice Sebold that I want to rip
  • go to Anderson
  • call the dentist
  • go to the gym
  • call Dr. Shuler's office
  • shower
  • vacuum the house
  • tidy the office

What I'm going to do for sure:
  • go to the PO to undo the mail hold and pick up stuff
  • go to the library and return CDs and see if they have the other Alice Sebold that I want to rip
  • go to Anderson
  • shower
  • go to the gym

What I'm going to try very hard to do:
  • spend a couple of hours on school stuff, to make some progress and thereby defer schoolwork-related self-flagellation

What I really really want to do:
  • buy upholstery fabric in Anderson and start making a slipcover for the couch
  • bake
  • start some potage (especially before the leeks in the fridge get weird)
Sigh.
